100% grass fed, 100% organic. Our herd of native, pedigree Sussex cattle live outside and eat grass all year round. During the spring and summer they graze on the species rich wildflower grassland of the South Downs and in winter we supplement them with species rich hay, which is mown from the excess grass during the summer months and stored until we need it
We care deeply for our animals and are proud of how we farm this landscape, which allows our animals to lead a contented life and nature to flourish

When you buy Saddlescombe beef, you are buying into regenerative farming which is a very natural way for our animals to graze the precious grassland on the South Downs. Regenerative grazing involves regularly moving the cows to enhance the precious grassland, regenerate the soil and allow the grass to photosynthesise, capture carbon and store it in the soil
